Featured Municipal Bond Issue, Week of July 23rd, 2018: Forsyth County School District  (General Obligation, Series 2018) – $147.5 Million


The Forsyth County School District, GA is issuing $147 .5 million in general obligation bonds the week of July 23rd, 2018. The bonds are being issued as a single, tax-exempt series, for the purpose of financing new school buildings and facilities, renovating existing school buildings and acquiring instructional and administrative technology improvement,  school buses, school safety upgrades and acquiring any necessary property.    The bonds are being underwritten through negotiation by Citigroup.  Payment of principal and interest on the bonds  will be payable from ad valorem taxes levied, without limitation as to rate or amount, upon all taxable property within the District subject to taxation for school bond purposes.
