Featured Municipal Bond in the Market, Week of 04/04/2016

The City and County of San Francisco has been undergoing a strong effort to replace its aging and inadequate water infrastructure for some time. In order to keep the efforts moving, an competitive issue of new general obligation bonds is scheduled for 04/05/2016. This race to replace the aging infrastructure is an acknowledgement that the water shortages western states are experiencing is not going away, and that costs to replace now pale in comparison with the price to be paid for leaks, breakages, and water shortages in times of emergency. San Francisco has a higher median income than the state or national median, and more information on San Francisco’s demographics can be found here.Municipal Bond Featured Snapshot - San Francisco
