Featured Municipal Bond in the Market, Week of 03/28/2016

Ann Arundel County Maryland is looking to schedule an issue this week for a new $285 million competitive general obligation bond for the week of March 28, 2016. The county has issued a preliminary official statement, citing two reasons for the issuance. First, some of the revenues will be used to refunding current outstanding bonds. Second, proceeds will be used for construction and improvement purposes, both general and water/sewer. Ann Arundel County has a higher median income than the state of Maryland, which in turn has a higher median income than the national as a whole. You can find more information about the county and a link to its official website by clicking here.
