Voters head to the polls today to elect over 6,000 state legislators and decide on over 200 ballot measures. The National Conference of State Legislatures, a well-regarded, bi-partisan public policy organization, offers a one-stop resource for nationwide election results.
StateVote 2006 will provide results of ballot measures in all 50 states beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mountain time on November 7. Arizona leads the nation with 19 ballot measures on the table this election, followed by Colorado, California, and South Dakota. Hot issues on this year’s ballots include tobacco restrictions, same-sex marriage, minimum wages, tax limits, and education.
The site also features a blog, The Thicket at State Legislatures, a state-by-state breakdown of party composition, historical election data, and election-related news.
