The Louisiana Recovery Authority – established on October 17, 2005 by order of Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco – is the “planning and coordinating body” for the state’s recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Its web site includes the Authority’s short- and longer-term goals for rebuilding affected areas, and will report on progress as recovery efforts get underway. Mark this site as a valuable resource for tracking the rebuilding and workout story in Louisiana.
